Credit Cards - Retroactive Rate Increases

Attorney Chris Hayes is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers against credit card companies, and American Express in particular, that may be retroactively increasing the interest rates that they charge on outstanding credit card balances. As a result of these practices, credit card companies may be improperly collecting interest from consumers.

Estratest - Non-FDA Approval

Attorney Chris Hayes is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Solvay Pharmaceuticals related to its marketing of Estratest, a hormone replacement therapy drug. Estratest is commonly prescribed to women who suffer moderate to severe symptoms associated with menopause.

Blood Reagents Antitrust Investigation

Attorney Chris Hayes is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Immucor, Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics and Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems on behalf of persons and entities that purchased blood reagents or related medical equipment directly from any of these entities at any point after September 2000. These entities develop, manufacture and distribute blood reagent equipment. Blood reagent equipment is primarily used by hospitals, clinical laboratories and blood banks.

Honda Airbag Deployment

Attorney Chris Hayes is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Honda America for the possibly defective deployment of airbags in certain model vehicles. It has been reported that the airbags in certain Honda vehicles have been triggered merely by shutting the door of the vehicle or driving around a turn. This creates both a serious risk to occupants of the vehicle and costly repairs to replace and/or fix the airbag system. Honda has labeled this as Accidental Airbag Deployment and, in most situations, refuses to repair the defective airbag system under any kind of warranty.

AAA Membership Renewal Backdating

Attorney Christopher Hayes is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers that renewed their memberships with the American Automobile Association (AAA). AAA is an organization that sells memberships to motorists across the United States. The AAA membership subscription typically lasts for a period of 12 months.
